For Aiden Brown, football is a family affair.
So it would surprise no one that Brown waited to commit until his mom felt comfortable with the school. Brown’s family visited this past weekend for the Blacksburg Bash, and then pulled the trigger on his commitment to Virginia Tech.
“She really bought into what Coach (Fuente) was saying,” Brown said. “She felt strongly and that was really the only thing I was waiting for, to make sure my mom was comfortable with it.”
The 3-star offensive lineman from Potomac, MD wasn’t the only commitment from the July 23 event. Linebacker Jaylen Griffin, wide receiver Sean Savoy and athlete Bryce Thompson all committed to the Hokies at the Blacksburg Bash.
Although Virginia Tech’s coaching staff is a mixture of holdovers from last season and new guys, the cohesiveness among the staff really made Brown feel at home.
