Jahque Alleyne did not enroll at Virginia Tech as early as he wanted to, but the 6’1″, 180-pound safety prospect still plans to begin his college career this summer. If all goes as planned, the Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA) graduate will enroll at Tech in mid-August.
“I know for sure I’ll be there this summer,” Alleyne said. “I’m determined to make it.”
That determination will serve Alleyne well in two weeks, when he begins the 3-week course he needs to gain admission to Virginia Tech.
“I was told I have to actually take Algebra 2 because I took a class that wasn’t exactly Algebra 2 but a form of it,” said Alleyne.
“I was already qualified. My grades were good and everything. Then they said I just have to take that class and I’ll be fine.”
Assistant coaches Zohn Burden, Torrian Gray and Bryan Stinespring have kept in consistent contact with the Rivals.com 4-star prospect, who remains enthusiastic about his future in Blacksburg.
“I’m really excited and looking forward to the games and getting in the classroom and on campus and having the opportunity to meet new people,” Alleyne said.
