1) What needs to be done to improve the baseball program? Is it through upgrading facilities, recruiting, coaching, etc? Or a combo of everything? Also, how far away do you think we are from competing day in and day out in the ACC in baseball? – hokiealum10

Chris Coleman: I’ve been wanting to talk about this for awhile now, so I’m glad you asked. It comes down to recruiting, and of course that’s a lot easier to do with great facilities. As we’ve covered before, Tech’s facilities lag behind.

I’ll give you a simple answer: recruit the state of Virginia better. Let’s go over all the Major League players from the state of Virginia who have made their debut since 2005 (not counting players who jumped from high school to the pros)…
