1) What needs to be done to improve the baseball program? Is it through upgrading facilities, recruiting, coaching, etc? Or a combo of everything? Also, how far away do you think we are from competing day in and day out in the ACC in baseball? – hokiealum10

Chris Coleman: I’ve been wanting to talk about this for awhile now, so I’m glad you asked. It comes down to recruiting, and of course that’s a lot easier to do with great facilities. As we’ve covered before, Tech’s facilities lag behind.

I’ll give you a simple answer: recruit the state of Virginia better. Let’s go over all the Major League players from the state of Virginia who have made their debut since 2005 (not counting players
