Missouri, Northern Illinois and Virginia Tech are the three favorites for Indianapolis (IN) class of 2015 cornerback Adonis Williamson.

Williamson, a product of Arsenal Tech High School, discussed what he likes about each of the three favorites.
“I like [Virginia Tech] because they produce corners and they tell me they have a plan for me. Every time I talk to their coach, he says they have a plan for me,” said Williamson, a former teammate of Virginia Tech class of 2015 defensive tackle commit Eric Whitehead. Whitehead now attends Lawrence Central (Indianapolis) after transferring from Arsenal Tech.
“With Missouri, I wasn’t really into them like that until their coach starting contacting me and telling me a lot of stuff about how I could go down there and start.
“The Northern Illinois coach said the same thing the Missouri coach said, that I have the potential to start my freshman year. I also like it because I know some players I’d play with down there, so I know I’d be comfortable.”
Is this a final three or just a current top three?
“I’m thinking this is the final three,” said Williamson, who claims offers from all three schools. “I’m thinking about making my decision early, around the start of the season.”
Williamson has not visited any of the three schools, but he intends to do so – either officially or unofficially – before he commits.
Virginia Tech is recruiting the 6’1”, 185-pound prospect as a cornerback, Williamson’s primary position throughout his high school career. He has played on the varsity since his freshman year.
“[Coach Gray] said I was physical. He likes that I’m a physical, aggressive corner,” said Williamson, who says he speaks often with Torrian Gray and primary recruiter Aaron Moorehead. “He likes how I can come downhill to make some tackles.”
