I don’t think many people saw that one coming. Picking the Hokies to win at
Maryland is one thing. Not many, if any, thought Tech would hand the Terps their
biggest loss in the history of the Comcast Center.

There are a lot of Northern Virginia and Washington, DC Hokies who are having
fun in their offices today with their Maryland co-workers. Malcolm Delaney and
Jeff Allen sure had a good time last night in their return to their home state.
There are just not a lot of things that are better than beating Maryland on the
road, especially in what was such an important game for both teams.

Erick Green is the Difference

Sophomore point guard Erick Green dropped a career-high 24 points on the
Terps, and he was 12-of-16 from the field, including 7 of his last 8. Tech’s
offense runs at a much better pace with Green in the lineup, their transition
offense is much more effective, and Green is starting to get more assertive.

Last night was his ninth start of the season, and he has scored in double
figures every single time.
