2009 Spring Practice Preview: Defensive Line

Virginia Tech football is all about toughness in the trenches, and the Hokies
return three of their four starting defensive linemen this season. There should
also be more quality depth at defensive tackle, though the defensive end
position will still be very thin this spring with Jason Worilds out of the lineup.

Orion Martin finished his career with a very good 2008 season, and he will be
tough to replace. Fortunately the Hokies have the luxury of starting Nekos
Brown, who is a very experienced player. At defensive tackle, the Hokies should
go from a 3-man rotation to a 5-man rotation, and they’ll be better able to
withstand any possible injuries.
