Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA) star Marcus Davis will reveal his college choice tomorrow, Ocean Lakes head coach Jim Prince told TechSideline.com this afternoon. The first-team all-Tidewater selection is expected to choose between Penn State and Virginia Tech. He also considered scholarship offers from North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, among others.
“Marcus will announce his decision tomorrow,” Prince said. “I am supposed to meet with him around 9 o’clock in the morning, so I’m guessing he will do it then.”
As the starting signal caller in 2007, Davis completed 104 of 223 passes for 1,837 yards and 20 touchdowns. He also rushed for 858 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 7.7 yards per carry.
Davis, TSL’s #9 recruit in the Postseason Top 30, is being recruited by Penn State and Virginia Tech to play quarterback, but he could play other positions as well.
Virginia Tech is hoping for its second Ocean Lakes recruit in this 2008 class. Wide receiver Randall Dunn, a 6-3, 215-pound prospect, committed to the Hokies earlier today.
