Glennon’s Recruitment Picking Up

Westfield (Chantilly, VA) quarterback Mike Glennon has seen his recruitment heat up over the past few weeks. Heading into February, the 6-6, 195-pound signal caller, brother of current Virginia Tech sophomore Sean Glennon, had received only one scholarship offer. Now, he has four.

“I’ve been to a few junior days recently and received some offers,” Glennon said. “Virginia Tech offered me the next day after signing day. I didn’t go to a junior day there, but they did offer me. I went to a junior day at Maryland and Coach Friedgen told me there that he still wanted to review more of my tape but that they were still considering offering. They offered a couple days later. I went to a junior day at Duke and they offered.”

Prior to the February success, Glennon’s only offer was from the University of Virginia. Charlottesville will be his next junior day stop.

“This Saturday, I’m going to Virginia. The following week, I’m going to N.C. State for a junior day,” Glennon said. “I know [the N.C. State coaches] are real interested. When they were at BC, they were saying they were real interested in me. They haven’t said if they would offer, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did.”
