Ocean Township (Oakhurst, N.J.) offensive line prospect Lou Eliades has three schools currently at the top of his list, with these three programs likely being the finalists. A 4-star prospect and one of the best offensive linemen in the East, Eliades is an important target for all three remaining programs.
“It’s Penn State, South Carolina and Virginia Tech,” Eliades replied when asked which teams he is considering.
“Having already been to South Carolina and Virginia Tech on official visits, Eliades took an official visit to Penn State earlier this month. The trip went very well.
“It was nice,” Eliades said of Penn State. He was hosted by lineman A.Q. Shipley. “I had a really good time. There were lots of things I saw that I didn’t get to see the first time I went. I got to hang out with other committed players and it was fun.”
Eliades stated what he likes about each of the other two programs at this point.
“The thing I like about them is the chance to play early,” Eliades said of South Carolina.
“[For Virginia Tech] I really like the coaches. Coach Stinespring’s does a good job with the linemen. I also like the prestige of the school and Coach Beamer’s going to be there for a while.”
One program currently stands out among the three.
“Penn State,” Eliades stated when asked if he had a favorite right now. He says he will likely announce sometime in January, but isn’t sure exactly when just yet.
Eliades, who played offensive tackle and some defensive tackle this season, helped his team to a 9-3 overall record and a Central, Group 3 state championship title. Ocean Township was 6-3 heading into the playoffs and was the #7 seed out of 8.
“Yep, we’re state champs,” Eliades said. “Once we lost some pretty important players, we all pulled together and played our best.”
