6-2, 185-pound Ras-I Dowling , an athletic prospect who could play either defensive back or wide receiver on the next level, is considering offers from Virginia and Virginia Tech and recently set an official visit date with one of them. “I’ve set one for Virginia Tech on December 10th,” Dowling said. “I haven’t set one to Virginia, yet. I still plan on taking an official visit to Virginia.”

Dowling has attended a big game at each program, including the Miami/Virginia Tech and Virginia Tech/Virginia games last month. Did Virginia Tech’s win give the Hokies an advantage over the ‘Hoos?

“It didn’t hurt UVa,” Dowling said. “I went to the game when Virginia Tech lost to Miami. It’s not a big factor either way.”
