Virginia Tech landed one of its top offensive targets in the 2005 today, when South View (Hope Mills, NC) tight end Jonathan Hannah verbally committed to Tech over UNC, N.C. State and South Carolina during a morning press conference at his high school.
“It’s Virginia Tech,” said a representative in the South View Athletics office.
The 6-4, 250-pound Hannah is rated a 4-star prospect and one of the top tight ends in the country by Rivals.com and Scout.com. A dual-sport athlete, Hannah is all-state in football and basketball and would like to play both on the next level. He becomes the 20th player in Tech’s 2005 recruiting class.
