Warwick High School (Newport News, VA) looks to have another talented and athletic quarterback in their system. 6-2, 200 pound Cody Brodus , who started at quarterback for the first time in his high school career last season, shows a good arm and has good speed as a dual-threat signal caller.
A tough player, Brodus is also a safety on defense.
“Last year was my second year playing varsity football,” Brodus said. “I started at wide receiver as a sophomore. One day in practice before my junior year, Coach [Tommy] Reamon looked at me and asked to see me throw. He saw me throw and decided to try me at quarterback. I had played quarterback before in the recreation league, but last season was the first time I started at quarterback in high school.”
Brodus looks to capitalize on his junior year experience next season as a senior. He feels he played well last season but admits he has some things to improve over the summer.
