Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC) running back George Bell set up his fifth and final official visit this week, scheduling a trip next weekend to the University of Virginia.
One of the top running back prospects in the country, Bell has taken official visits to Michigan, NC State, North Carolina, and will head to Virginia Tech this weekend. All except Virginia have extended official scholarship offers.
“I’m going to Virginia for the Florida State game for my final visit,” said Bell. “They called this week and we scheduled the visit. They are a young team like NC State and North Carolina. They are an up-and-coming program.”
Bell’s visit this weekend will mark the first time he has ever visited Virginia Tech. He is looking forward to learning more about the Hokies program.
“I want to get what I need to get out of the visit [to help me make my decision],” said Bell. “It will be my first time there. I’m looking forward to seeing them. They are a good program, and I know they will need another running back after Kevin Jones.”
NC State and Michigan continue to lead for the 5-11, 225 pound blue-chip prospect. He is looking forward to ending the recruiting process soon.
“My top two are still NC State and Michigan,” said Bell, who is still not sure if he will play football this season. He is still recovering from a serious knee injury suffered his junior year. The knee continues to progress well. “I want to decide before I play again… if I play. I’m ready to get the process over with. I didn’t know it was going to be like this.”
Bell seems to be tiring of the recruiting process and is anxious to take his final two visits. Look for a decision within a few weeks after his final visit.
