Chris Gorham enjoyed his official visit last weekend to Virginia. Hosted by freshman quarterback Kevin McCabe on Friday and senior wide receiver Art Thomas on Saturday, Gorham seemed excited about his time in Charlottesville – especially the 27-24 victory over Wake Forest.

“It was nice,” said Gorham. “I had a great time. It was a great atmosphere for the football game. The game really started everything off great. It was good to see everyone in Charlottesville so excited by the victory. I kind of fed off of that and had a good time.”

The Pottstown (PA) star enjoyed his visit with the coaches as well.

“I had a good time with the coaches,” said Gorham. “I got to find out more about where I would fit in on defense. They showed me the depth chart and how I would have a chance to play early.”

Gorham will take an official visit to Georgia Tech sometime this month. He is unsure if he will take his final two visits, but knows when he wants to make his final decision.

“Late October is still my plan [on a decision],” said Gorham. “I want to go to Georgia Tech as soon as possible. I don’t have a favorite. I haven’t decided if I will take the other two visits or not. I might go and see either Minnesota, Duke, or Vanderbilt. Both of my first trips were really good – I know what I need to know from both Virginia and Notre Dame.”

Gorham was impressed with his visit this past weekend. He still names no favorites among UVA, Notre Dame, and Georgia Tech. The Cavaliers still have a strong shot at landing the outstanding cornerback prospect.

We arrived on Friday night and all of the coaches greeted us. My recruiting coach, Coach [Bob] Price, took us out to eat. On these trips, you do a lot of eating. I didn’t want to look at food anymore after the weekend was over. Kevin McCabe was my host Friday night. He came to dinner with us. I hung out with Kevin after dinner and then we went back to the hotel. He showed me
