Bergen Catholic High School (Oradell, NJ) 6-7, 200 pound power/wing forward Adrian Joseph missed the first three days with a sprained ankle, however returned on Thursday to get a chance to show his stuff. He looked a bit out-of-rhythm in his first game back, but returned with a very solid eight point, four rebound, and two assist outing during his second game.
Joseph has the frame to be able to add 20-25 pound of muscle. He can play inside or outside on the offensive end, and displays a very nice touch from beyond the arc. He hit two of four three point attempts in his second game back.
What really stands out about Joseph is his ability to move up and down the court. Surprisingly fast for a player his size, Joseph was as fast or faster than any other forward in terms of moving up the court. On a couple of occasions, he would play a little point forward and push the ball up. His passing ability is above average as well.
The versatile left hander claims to have received six offers thus far. He hopes to make a decision by the end of the summer.
“I have offers from Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, St Joseph, East Carolina, and Virginia Tech,” said Joseph, who has already taken an unofficial trip to Virginia. “I don’t have any favorites right now. I’m open right now, but I hope to decide before the end of the summer. I’m looking for a good program with good academics. I would like to major in business.”
Joseph is rated a 3-star player by TheInsidersHoops.com and Rivals.com. He is a native of San Fernando, Trinidad and will attend Brewster Academy (New Hampshire) in the fall.
