If Ahmad Bradshaw can do for Graham HS as a senior what he did as a junior last season, then the G-Men will be in good shape to contend for a state championship this year.

The elusive Bradshaw rushed for 2,282 yards and 27 touchdowns and added 386 yards receiving with three touchdowns during a phenomenal junior campaign. Despite a younger squad this season, he feels his team is primed for a state title run.

“Everything’s going great,” said Bradshaw. “We have a bunch of young guys and I’m showing them a lot of stuff before the season starts. I am a leader on this team this year – I have to step up and show the younger guys how to do things. They are doing good right now, and if they continue I think we could possibly win the state championship.”

Recruiting is going pretty good for Bradshaw as well, as he has picked up offers from Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland and is receiving letters from Virginia Tech. The Cavaliers appear to be recruiting him as an athlete while Maryland and West Virginia like him as a running back.

Though he is open in terms of favorite schools, Bradshaw may make his decision this fall.

“I’m still pretty open,” said Bradshaw, who is confident he will qualify academically. “If I don’t make my decision by the middle of my senior season, I’m thinking I maybe will make it by the end of the season.”

Bradshaw visited Virginia earlier this year for a Tom Lemming photo shoot. He met some of the other top prospects in the state and had a good time checking out the Cavaliers. Virginia is the school recruiting him the hardest.

“I’ve received like 3,000 letters from Virginia,” said Bradshaw jokingly. “They are definitely recruiting me the hardest. My visit there was real cool. I had to go for Tom Lemming photo shoot and I stayed overnight for the Blue Chip day the next day. The guys I met were really cool.”
