Stratford (SC) running back Rodney Kinlaw completed his official visits with a Virginia Tech visit over the past few days.
Kinlaw enjoyed his time in Blacksburg, and hopes to have a decision soon.
“The visit went pretty good,” said Kinlaw, who was hosted by tight end Keith Willis. “I will try to have a decision by Friday, but it may happen next Monday or so.”
The highlight of the trip occurred today for Kinlaw, who said his trip to Virginia Tech was similar to his visits to Clemson and Penn State – the other two finalists.
“The highlight of the visit was today, actually, when I spoke to Coach Beamer,” said Kinlaw. “He was asking how I liked the school and stuff like that. That was fun.
“All of my visits were about the same. I don’t have a leader right now.”
The Hokies have just as good of a chance as Penn State and Clemson in this one. The Tigers have two running back commitments, so that could hurt their chances. Kinlaw said he wants to sit down this week, talk things over with his parents, and come up with a decision.
