With almost a week and a half remaining until signing day, it is becoming crunch time for many top prospects.
Things are not any different for one of the state of Virginia’s top prospects, Phoebus LB Xavier Adibi. Following his official visit to Virginia Tech, he has narrowed his list to two schools.
“It’s probably going to be between Virginia Tech and Tennessee,” said Adibi. “I’ll probably take my NC State visit, but I’m not sure.”
Adibi visited Virginia Tech over the past few days. He has certainly been to Blacksburg many times before, and he enjoyed his most recent experience.
“Everything went fine,” said Adibi. “I got a chance to talk to the players, and talk with Marcus [Vick], who was my host. My favorite part of the trip was getting to sit down with Coach Foster, and get a feel for the defense.”
Accompaning Adibi on the trip was Bethel defensive end Chris Ellis. Adibi and Ellis are good friends, and the Phoebus standout believes there is a good chance they may end up at the same school.
“We probably will go to the same school,” said Adibi. “I’ll probably decide a few days before signing day.”
Good news for Hokie fans on both Adibi and Ellis. If both players were to choose the same school, Virginia Tech would be the one, as Ellis appears to be leaning towards staying in-state. In my opinion, give the Hokies the slight edge on both prospects.
