Hackensack LB Jermaine Dias gave a brief interview to TheSabre.com last night. Tonight, he went into more depth in talking about his visit to the University of North Carolina.
“The UNC visit went real good,” said Dias. “It was a nice campus, and I enjoyed the people. I liked the coaches and the players were really cool. I got to hang out with the players a lot this weekend. I could see myself going there.”
With a good visit, UNC maintains a spot at the top along with UVa. Hackensack coach Ralph Dass has believed that the two ACC schools had the lead all along and, according to Dias, Dass was right.
“I’m pretty sure it’s down to UVa and UNC,” said Dias, who is being recruited by UVa’s Al Golden. “Those two always were kind of at the top. The Virginia visit will make the difference.”
Despite UVa and UNC being at the top of his list, he indicated that he will likely take the Boston College trip after all.
“I don’t think I will announce after the UVa trip,” said Dias. “I’m probably going to visit Boston College [on January 24th] and decide after that.”
Dias was pretty enthusiastic about his great UNC visit, but Virginia is still tied at the top with the Tarheels. I think the Cavaliers could pull ahead with a great visit this weekend.
