According to our sources, and reported earlier by a recruiting service, Palm Beach Gardens (FL) DE/LB prospect Mike Brown has committed to Virginia Tech.

Attempts to contact him have not been successful, and we will try to get a hold of his coach tomorrow to verify.

Brown becomes the second verbal commitment of the day for Virginia Tech, who received a pledge from Phoebus (VA) defensive back DJ Parker as well. He is the 18th player to commit to Virginia Tech this year.

According to Palm Beach Head Coach Tim Tharp, Brown was also being recruited heavily by Michigan, Boston College, and had recently received interest from the University of Florida as well.
