Woodland Hills (PA) safety prospect Ryan Mundy enjoyed his trip this weekend to Virginia. Despite most of the student body going home for the Holidays, Mundy found many positives in his visit.
“Yeah, I had a good time,” said Mundy, who was hosted by Pennsylvania native Art Thomas. “I like the players a lot. Even though the students weren’t there, it was a really relaxed and cool atmosphere. Me and the players just chilled and played some Playstation and stuff. It was fun.”
Heading into the trip, the consensus was that Mundy was favoring Michigan and Pittsburgh. Mundy’s recent trip to NC State and this weekend’s Virginia visit were eye-opening, however they may not be enough to sway the All-American safety.
“As of right now, Michigan and Pitt are still my top two,” said Mundy. “I mean, I just got back two hours ago, so I haven’t really had a chance to think about it too much. The trip this weekend and the NC State visit have given me something to think about, like whether I should keep Michigan and Pitt at the top or think more about entering one of these two schools in the mix.
“If you are asking me right now, though, it’s still Michigan and Pitt.”
Virginia is recruiting Mundy as a safety, and Danny Rocco is the lead recruiter.
Mundy said he still plans on announcing his decision later this week. He wants to wait a few days to think more about his two visits to NC State and Virginia.
The visit to Virginia went very well, however it doesn’t look like it’s enough to keep him from choosing Michigan or Pitt.
