Willie Harriott

Notes: Harriott played wide receiver as a junior, totaling 840 yards of receiving. Already the school's all-time leading scorer, he has tallied 244 total points for his career. He has rushed for 1,193 yards in three years. Defensively, he has made 14 interceptions in three years.

As a junior, Harriott was named to the New Haven Register first-team all-state team and the All-Metropolitan team, which features prospects from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Coach John Acquavita: “Willie is a burst guy. He’s got that extra gear. It’s amazing to see. He sees an opening and just takes off. He’s a straight ahead type of runner.

"He ran a 4.3 flat in the 40 at Florida State’s summer camp [in 2003], and I think that time really helped to put him on the national recruiting scene."

Willie (via email): "[I run a] 4.30 forty, and I can run that time in the beginning of practice and run a 4.27 in the fourth quarter when the team needs it, or when it's time to change the game in our favor."
