Jelani Jenkins

Notes: As a junior, Jenkins, a fullback and linebacker, rushed for 782 yards and 16 touchdowns and added 15 receptions for 223 yards on offense despite missing two games due to a sprained right ankle. On defense, Jenkins made 48 solo tackles including five tackles-for-loss on a defense that held opponents to an average of 9.2 points per game.

His junior season accolades include Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Maryland, first-team all-state, first-team all-metro and first-team all-WCAC honors. The all-conference, all-metro and all-state honors were for his play at linebacker.
