Charlton settled in at cornerback for Tech, where he was a starter for two years. He left following the 1999 season, his junior year, for the NFL. He was taken in the 2nd round of the 2000 NFL Draft, and he had a decent NFL career. He later played in the Canadian Football League, and still plays there at the time of this writing.
