CJ Fleming

Notes: As a junior last season, Fleming made 39 tackles, had eight pass break-ups and six interceptions. He earned first-team all-metro honors by the Richmond Times-Dispatch for his performance.

Head coach Scott Burton: “C.J. is probably the hungriest kid that we’ve ever coached here in terms of that he wants success and realizes the road you have to take to get there probably more acutely than some other kids. He doesn’t really deviate from that road like maybe some other kids. Since the moment he entered our program he’s had a really solid work ethic, so his hunger and his passion are great intangibles. You combine that with the physical abilities he has and you’ve got a pretty good player. And he’s a guy you can challenge and that motivates him because he doesn’t get satisfied.”
