Notes: In his first year of high school football, Vinson had 29 receptions for 475 yards and 8 touchdowns last season as a junior. A terrific basketball player, he averaged around 20 points per game and could become a two-sport athlete in college.

Vinson posted a 4.39 in the 40 and a 39-inch vertical leap during the Nike camp in Blacksburg in April 2005.

Coach Bill Dee: “He’s a receiver and defensive back. He came up this past season. He’s an excellent, excellent athlete. He’s a great receiver, he’s got enough speed and he’s physical enough to play defensive back. He’s a kick-returner. He’s a heck of an athlete. I think he’s as good an athlete as there is in the state, but he just doesn’t have the experience."
