Antonio Bass

Notes: Bass is a terrific athlete at the quarterback position. Playing in a Wing-T offense, he rushed for 909 yards on 120 carries as a junior last season, an average of 7.6 yards per carry. He scored 13 rushing touchdowns. In addition, Bass completed 28 of 86 passes for 471 yards, 10 touchdowns, and four interceptions.

Very strong, Bass can bench press 350 pounds, squat 400 pounds, and dead-lift 565 pounds.

Coach Jack Fairly: "Antonio is a calm leader. He has tremendous arm strength. I think he can throw 50-60 yards in the air standing flat-footed. He's excellent at throwing on the run but he needs to work on his drop back. He's explosive running the football...he can stop and cut on a dime. Some schools are recruiting him as a wide receiver/defensive back, but he wants the chance to play quarterback on the next level."
