The Hokie Way Launches $250,000 Stone-by-Stone Donation Campaign

The Hokie Way

The Hokie Way, the 501(c)3 non-profit organization that raises money for Virginia Tech NIL in support of local charitable organizations, has launched its year-end 2023 fundraising campaign, named “Stone-by-Stone.”

The goal is to raise $250,000 by the end of the year (Dec. 31). All contributions will be matched by generous donors up to $250k, creating an opportunity to generate over half a million dollars total.

The Hokie Way has challenged Tech Sideline readers to donate $75,000 of the $250,000, and we have accepted the challenge.

To make your donation to The Hokie Way and to be included among Tech Sideline donors in support of the drive, please scroll down and use the specially-coded donation form. (Note: donations to The Hokie Way are tax deductible, and if you use this form to donate, the donation will be made in your name, and you will get the benefit of the tax deduction, not Tech Sideline.)

To kick things off, Tech Sideline will donate $1,000 as part of this fundraising drive. Please join us in support of The Hokie Way, their efforts in the community, and Virginia Tech NIL.

A Note from Tech Sideline founder Will Stewart

Hokie fans: The transfer portal opens soon (Dec. 4), and National Signing Day in football is just a few weeks away (Dec. 20). A strong NIL program is important in player recruiting and retention, and by donating to The Hokie Way, you can take an active role in supporting Virginia Tech’s efforts to build a competitive roster not just in football, but in all sports.

We are honored and excited that The Hokie Way has challenged Tech Sideline readers with a specific goal. Please use the form below to donate and to help us meet our portion of the campaign!

The Hokie Way and Triumph NIL are student-athlete-focused organizations that create NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) opportunities for Virginia Tech athletes. The Hokie Way’s support of local charitable organizations is something we can all get behind and support. (For a list of charitable organizations supported by The Hokie Way, click here.)
