For a few weeks, Virginia Tech safety Nasir Peoples would go through warmups, feeling better from a knee injury but not good enough to play. It frustrated the senior.

“The game starts and you’re like, ‘Man, I wish I could be out there,’” he said.

Peoples finally got back last week against Florida State, his first appearance since suffering a knee injury in practice before the Purdue game in Week 2. He played 20 snaps against the Seminoles at boundary safety and got in on three tackles, still working his way back into form.

“He needs to continue to shake the rust and get back oiled up,” head coach Brent Pry said.
