Florida State was idle last week, so right tackle Jeremiah Byers finally got a chance to watch Kyron Drones at Virginia Tech. He picked a good one to see Drones at his best, with the quarterback doing a bit of everything while accounting for five touchdowns in the Hokies’ rout of Pitt.
When it was over, Byers was impressed. Then he got serious about Drones with his Seminoles teammates.
“I was like, ‘OK, that’s great,’” Byers said. “And then I was like, ‘Go hit him. He’s breaking through everybody’s tackles. Make sure you go tackle this week.’”
Brotherly love apparently only goes so far.
