As is customary for each official visit at Virginia Tech, Mount Olive (NJ) offensive tackle Aidan Lynch wound down his, on June 11, in the office of coach Brent Pry. Not long into their talks, with assistant coach Ron Crook and other staffers present, Lynch gave his commitment.
What resulted was at least an extra 30-45 minutes of celebratory talking in the office, between Lynch, his parents and the coaches. The extra jubilation caused Lynch and his parents to miss their flight home to New Jersey, but the excitement was worth it.
“That was probably my favorite moment of the entire visit,” Lynch said. “It was the last day, and we were about to go to the airport. I knew I was going to commit after Saturday. But going in there, discussing that stuff, I was like, ‘this is my home.’ All their faces lit up.”
