Avon Lake (OH) 2025 defensive back Luke Stuewe remembers the many trips he took to Virginia Tech throughout his childhood. His father, Michael Stuewe, was a wide receiver for the Hokies from 1994-97.

On June 25, the younger Stuewe got the chance to play football at Virginia Tech during one of the Hokies’ prospect camps. And towards the end of the day, Luke spoke with head coach Brent Pry.

“I tested well in all my times, then we went to one-on-ones and I started off good,” Luke said. “The head coach pulled me aside and said, ‘I went you to go against this D-Back.’ They offered him right before they told me to go against him. We had two reps and I beat him on both reps and I think that was the point.”
