On July 1, North Cross (Va.) three-star offensive lineman Moritz Schmoranzer will head back to his native Germany for a summer visit. He said he’s already excited to eat his first schnitzel meal there. But before he makes the trip, he wants to decide where he’ll play college football.

Schmoranzer completed his first official visit last weekend to Virginia Tech. He was at West Virginia this weekend, and will be at Pittsburgh June 22. Schmoranzer said he’s also contemplating official visits to Wake Forest and Maryland. Regardless, he’s entering the final weeks before he’ll make a commitment.

“I want to see in person how they coach and what they coach,” Schmoranzer said. “If I can make my decision by then, if I’m pretty sure where I want to go, that’s what I’m going to do. I want to do it here before I fly back to Germany.”
