Virginia Tech started June by hosting official visitors last week, and it came away with a commitment from Charlotte safety Quentin Reddish. Our understanding is that there is one more silent verbal from the weekend that will be announced at a later date. 

Week 2 of official visits starts on Friday, and the Hokies will be hosting roughly half-a-dozen prospects. Today I’ll talk about them, plus one other bigger topic.

Let’s start with a brief update on the players who are listed as taking their official visits to Virginia Tech this weekend. As always, this list could grow or shrink. Sometimes visits get canceled at the last minute and at other times they get set up very late.

OT Aidan Lynch (6-7, 275): I’m a big fan of the New Jersey offensive tackle. Right now he has official visits scheduled for Tech and Vanderbilt. He’s also listed with offers from programs like Georgia and Penn State, though as we know these days the best way to tell if a school is a legit option for a player is to see if he takes an official. I like Lynch a lot, and I’d love for the Hokies to sign him. He’s got great arm length, and he finishes plays.
