So far, Lord Botetourt (Va.) 2024 defensive end Kendal Howard has been rewarded for his football play with a pair of scholarship offers from Louisville and James Madison. It’s a good start, and one that has kept him plenty motivated.

“I’ve really just learned to just be patient for when these offers are going to start rolling in,” Howard said. “I feel like they will and that I had a pretty good season. It looked good to me and everyone who evaluated it as well. I’ve learned to just be patient. I know it’ll come eventually.”

Because of that hope, Howard has looked a bit at his current two options. But he’s also not pushed his recruitment forward. What’s added to his hope is plenty of communication with a few others, including Virginia Tech. The Hokies, however, haven’t promised anything.
