Virginia Tech got a commitment from Baylor transfer quarterback Kyron Drones on Monday night. That’s what I want to focus on today, but before we do that, I want to rewind back to last offseason when the Hokies took quarterbacks Grant Wells and Jason Brown from the portal. What’s transpired with the Virginia Tech offense since?

To understand the decision of the Virginia Tech coaches to sign Wells and Brown from the transfer portal last year, we must first understand the type of offense that the Hokies originally wanted to run.
