Washington-Liberty (Va.) defensive lineman Elijah Hughes continues to do his due diligence when it comes to his recruitment despite the fact that he recently picked up his first major offer.

Hughes now counts five offers, after Virginia Tech last week joined James Madison, UMASS, Yale and William & Mary. He also has a few connections to the Hokies, as his brother attends school at Virginia Tech, while assistant coach Joe Rudolph coached one of his relatives. Still, Hughes said he has more visits planned and doesn’t have a commitment window in sight.

Hughes visited the Hokies on Jan. 29 for junior day. It was there that he first met Rudolph and many of the other new coaches on staff.
