The last three weekends last month, McDonogh (Md.) four-star defensive end Mason Robinson gathered intel at junior days. First, there was West Virginia Jan. 15, Virginia Tech the following weekend, and Pittsburgh after that.

Robinson, No. 250 in the 2023 Rivals250, said he’s still sorting through his recruiting options. He’s also moving closer to a top group of schools. After some spring visits, including one that’s set, Robinson said he hopes he’ll be at that point.

“I’m still building my list right now,” he said. “I am kind of narrowing it down to seven or eight schools. It definitely is a process. I’m just trying to take my time, not rush anything. I’m being very patient because this is one of the biggest decisions of my life. I want to make sure it fits for me. I’m grateful for my parents helping me out, coaches and family, being in my corner. I’m just working through it carefully.”
