Though the signed letter of intent came two days after National Signing Day, Graham (Va.) three-star athlete Xayvion Bradshaw had long had a connection with the current Virginia Tech staff.

His father – two-time Super Bowl winner Ahmad Bradshaw – played at Marshall, where assistant coach JC Price was on staff. When Xayvion was a sophomore, Price offered him a scholarship as a legacy. They’d built a relationship, and when Price came back in the picture early last month, it picked back up. Now, Xayvion said he’s excited to join the Hokies later this spring and to continue the bond he’s built with Price.

“He had a bond with my dad,” Xayvion said. “I remember one day being out for breakfast, dad said Coach Price was on the phone and he offered me. Then a few months later, Coach Price walked in and introduced himself and it just clicked. From there, it’s just been like family.”
