This fall, Life Christian Academy (Va.) 2023 three-star safety Kaleb Spencer went to games at Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Old Dominion. He paid attention not just to the games themselves, but everything around them, to get a full sense of each program.

Spencer said each visit gave him plenty to process. He particularly noticed a few aspects, which have put a few schools ahead of others. Coming up, Spencer has junior day trips planned that he hopes will add more perspective. But for now, he hopes to simply add to the 14 scholarship offers he claims, while eyeing a time period for a decision.

“The atmospheres really, that stood out,” Spencer said. “Penn State, Tennessee and South Carolina, the atmosphere was different around those schools. Just the fans that were there. There’s also great fan bases at those schools. I think that’s a big thing in recruiting, having a good fan base behind you while you’re playing.”
