Though Virginia Tech lost one quarterback, Braxton Burmeister, to the transfer portal, it brought in another in the 2022 recruiting class. Milton (Ga.) three-star quarterback Devin Farrell signed last month with the Hokies and will arrive in Blacksburg next week to enroll in the spring semester and participate in spring practice.

Virginia Tech has endured a few changes since his commitment last February, most notably a new coaching staff. But Farrell said he doesn’t second-guess his decision and has a few goals in mind for his new home.

“I’m super excited,” he said. “I’m eager, just ready to start a new chapter of my life and get my college career going.”
