Yesterday, Virginia Tech introduced Brent Pry as its head coach in a press conference, but Pry had already begun work on the recruiting trail before that. On Tuesday night, Pry reached out to one of the Hokies’ top commitments in their 2022 class, Manchester (VA) four-star running back Ramon Brown.

For now, Brown remains on board with Virginia Tech and will get a first-hand visit with its new coach soon. He’s also left the door open for other possibilities as he decides where his future lies.

“I’m still taking my time because of the whole thing with Coach (Justin) Fuente,” Brown said. “I want to look at some other schools, explore my options, expand my wings a little bit more. I want to see what fits me. I don’t want to jump in any situation. I don’t know who the OC’s going to be, or who the running backs coach is going to be. I’m just going to take my time with it, see where everything goes.”
