In some ways, there’s a sigh of relief. The first scholarship offer for Milton (Ga.) 2022 three-star offensive tackle Gilles Tchio came Feb. 10, from Virginia Tech. The following day, he already had a connection to that offer.

Tchio’s teammate, three-star quarterback Devin Farrell, committed to the Hokies Feb. 11. But that’s just one intriguing factor for Tchio, who also has experience from watching his highly-touted brother go through the recruiting process. Plus, Tchio has just begun moving in his recruitment.

“In the process, right now I’d say I’m in the waiting stage,” Tchio said. “At first, in waiting, it was nervous, like not getting an offer. After Virginia Tech offered, I was really anxious about it. Right now, I’m gauging Virginia Tech, really.”
