Jones (6-1, 185) is listed with 13 offers and chose the Hokies over Pittsburgh, Boston College, Wake Forest and East Carolina. He is ranked as the No. 30 player in the state by the 247Sports Composite Ranking.
Jaylen Jones is the sixth commitment of the 2021 recruiting class for Virginia Tech. He visited Virginia Tech the weekend of February 29th/March 1st and received an offer from the Hokies. During his junior season in 2019, per his listing on 247Sports.com, Jones caught 76 passes for 1,369 yards and 18 touchdowns.
