6-5, 230
Virginia Tech picked up a second commitment on Sunday night when 2020 defensive end Justin Beadles gave his pledge to the Hokies. He becomes the 11th commitment of the 2020 class, and the first defensive end of the class.

Beadles is a 6-5, 230-pound defensive end from Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, GA, which is just southwest of Atlanta. He is listed as a 3-star recruit by the recruiting services, though his offer list is impressive for a 3-star. It includes Arizona State, Boston College, LSU, Maryland, Missouri, Pitt, and a few others.
Beadles visited Blacksburg over the weekend and committed to the coaching staff on his visit. He was previously committed to Arizona State, but decommitted in mid-October.
Beadles was one of a number of defensive end prospects who visited Blacksburg this weekend, along with Texas products such as Alec Bryant, Robert Wooten and Clinton Anokwuru. It’s very possible that the Hokies could add to their defensive end haul between now and Signing Day.

I like that he doesn’t just go for the big hits. He is a tackling machine. He gets his hands on you…. you are going down. Great pursuit speed.
Great speed, length and vision… welcome home!
Derrell Bailey Jr was 1st DE commit of class unless I’m mistaken.
With that width he should be on the OL.
At 230? Really?
His width was listed at 800″. Don’t see it now.
All of them. We are weak at DE and this is the most important position of need.
How many DE would we take?
3-4. I imagine we’re seeing a scheme tweak needing more depth at DE/OLB types. Notice we’re trending toward taller guys too. It saying we’re going toward a 3-4 just probably looking at versatile DE/OLB types
Tall ends also play on a 4 man front
Not sure about that as much as it is the idea of “bigger/taller” guys in general.
Please no algroh 3-4. Just no.
No way we would have an algroh 3-4.
It could be a JHam 3-4, though, and that would be fine with me.
