Virginia Tech played two more true freshmen for the first time in the blowout victory over Georgia Tech.  Here are the updated snap counts for Hokie true freshmen.

WR Tayvion Robinson: 23 special teams snaps, 283 offensive snaps, 316 total snaps.  Robinson continued to play offense, and he appears to have taken over as Virginia Tech’s full-time punt returner.  He’s averaging 15.6 yards per return on five returns this season.

DT Mario Kendricks: 6 special teams snap, 228 defensive snaps, 234 total snaps.  Kendricks has appeared in all 10 games for the Hokies, and he is entrenched firmly in the two-deep.

DT Norell Pollard: 26 special teams snaps, 339 defensive snaps, 365 total snaps.  DaShawn Crawford’s return has cut into Norell Pollard’s snaps, but the true freshman is still getting a lot of reps at defensive tackle.  He continues to play at a very high level.
