The confidence, it’s definitely there. Of course, Maury (Va.) 2020 three-star running back CJ Beasley has the numbers to back up that talk. Last fall, Beasley rushed for 1,778 yards and 19 touchdowns on 147 carries (12.2 ypc) and added 424 yards and four more touchdowns on 18 catches (23.6 ypc).

A combination of that bravado and ability has made Beasley a hot commodity in recruiting circles. He reports offers from Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Navy, Army, East Carolina, Old Dominion, Elon, Coastal Carolina, Liberty, William & Mary, Rutgers and Morgan State. Beasley might be close to a decision, too.

“I feel like I’m coming to the end of my process,” he said. “It’s getting close to that time to make the decision of where I want to go to. There might be one or two that come in, but the rest, I know what I’ve got. So I’ve got to be prepared. I think I know where I like, I just have to make sure that’s the place for me.”
