Adrian Spellman
Defensive End, Class of 2020
Northeastern High School, Elizabeth City, NC
6-4, 230
It’s not exactly a ‘tweener’ situation, but Northeastern (NC) 2020 three-star defensive end Adrian Spellman said he knows he’ll have to make changes to his body. Depending on what position he plays, he could bulk up his 6-4, 230-pound frame with more weight, stay close to his current size.
Spellman reports offers from Duke, Old Dominion and Liberty. He had an offer from the previous staff at East Carolina, but has not confirmed that with the new staff there. Still, he’s gotten some good feedback from a few schools, and visited more to get a feel for what to expect at the college level.
“It’s not a big difference with position, it’s just, when I get to college, I’d have to put on more weight for defensive end,” Spellman said. “I’m not that big as in weight. At outside linebacker, I wouldn’t have to put on much more weight, just build more muscle. Whichever one is the best fit at whatever school I go to, though, I don’t mind playing.”
