St. Frances (Md.) 2020 three-star linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green is thinking about his first few years in college, but he’s also looking beyond towards grad school.

Many high school recruits point to academics as a sticking point. Hill-Green, though, is looking at specifics, among the 30 scholarship offers he counts. That list includes Virginia Tech, Michigan, Nebraska, Wisconsin and West Virginia. Hill-Green has a time frame he’d like to keep in mind in his recruitment, but it’s still very much fluid.

“I want to do finance in college, so it’s about having the opportunity to get a good degree, and hopefully I can go to grad school after that,” he said. “Some schools have a three-year plan, and I want to do something like that, go get my grad degree the last two years, so communication with the coaches is big. The colleges that offered last year don’t talk much, except Boston College and Michigan. The new ones talk to me more, but if they don’t talk to me now, they won’t talk to me in a year when I’m on campus, since I’ll enroll early.”
