Class of 2019 Offensive Lineman Howard Allen Focusing on Recruitment after Hurricane Irma

Everyday life is still getting back to normal for Class of 2019 offensive tackle Howard Allen. Allen and his family, who live in Jacksonville, Fla., went to Georgia to get away from Hurricane Irma, which flooded many parts of Florida and Georgia just over a week ago.

Allen returned to school Monday at Baldwin High School, so recruiting hasn’t been on the top of his priority list. But Allen, who has eight offers, said he’s getting back into it.

South Carolina, South Florida, Auburn and Alabama are the most recent to offer the 6-foot-5 and 280-pound lineman. One unofficial visit is set, but Allen said past that, he hasn’t made many recruiting decisions.

“Really, I look at the team, how they bond and how they get along,” he said. “I want somewhere that feels like a family when I go there. I want it to be somewhere I can see myself playing for four years.”
